Serving humanity with willing hands

Compassionate Hearts Charity (COHEC) is a faith-based, non-profit ministry based in the Mvog-Beti neighbourhood of Yaoundé, Cameroon — with activities reaching communities across the city and beyond. We exist to restore dignity, hope and a promising future to orphans and vulnerable children — and to stand with widows in their distress — as an expression of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

What began as a small church-rooted outreach has grown into an annual Back-to-School movement, now in its 3rd year, alongside ongoing orphanage visits, relief support and evangelism reaching well beyond our home neighbourhood. Every activity we run — from a school-bag distribution to a hospital or orphanage visit — is carried out prayerfully, practically, and with the dignity of every child and family at the centre.

Back-to-School Support

Every year, COHEC equips vulnerable children with textbooks, exercise books, school bags, pens, pencils, rulers and arm boards so they can begin the academic year with dignity. In 2026 we are targeting 200 students.

COHEC's first Back-to-School outreach, based in Mvog-Beti — the starting point for what has become a growing, multi-community ministry.
